I would say that it is stunning, but it isn't. O'Reilly has shown his utter disregard for the truth and for America so frequently that it is no longer surprising. But it is sickening that a television network can allow him to continue and cover his worthless *** without being publicly, finally, and utterly condemned by journalists, elected officials, and the citizens of the nation as a whole. Can anyone imagine Eric Sevareid or Walter Cronkite behaving in such a way? Can anyone imagine them being tolerated if they had? How low our standards have fallen in this era of corporate hegemony!
